Arsenal has made a strong start to the season, currently just one point behind Liverpool at the top of the league table.
Mikel Arteta’s squad is optimistic about achieving Premier League success after two solid seasons.
However, recent international breaks have led to injury concerns for the team.
Captain Martin Odegaard picked up an ankle injury during the first international break.
The latest international window has added to the worries, with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli also facing injury issues.
David Beckham has praised Saka’s talent for taking on defenders.
He said, “The game has evolved so much. I often find myself shouting at the TV for players to get it out to the wing and cross. Sometimes that’s clearly what’s needed. My coach used to tell me to stay wide, and eventually, the opportunity would arise. I was never one to run at defenders like Bukayo does.”
Arsenal may struggle without Bukayo Saka.
The England international returned to London Colney with a suspected injury after a match against Greece, following an impressive start to the season with three goals and ten assists in ten appearances.
Saka is particularly effective at taking on defenders, averaging 4.63 progressive carries per 90 minutes.
While Arsenal could potentially rely on Raheem Sterling, losing Saka would significantly impact Arteta’s attacking options.
