It’s a good news they have gone back to him. He knows how to revive teams. I recommend him for te Glazers last but he decline the offer. But the New owners are going back to get him with a better offer to take United Job”-Sir Alex Ferguson reveals that Man Utd have currently ‘re-open’ talks with world-class manager who he recommended for the club to sign to replace Erik ten Hag and the New Manager.

Manchester United are reportedly set to re-open talks with a former managerial candidate if they decide to replace Erik ten Hag, after being rejected by another potential target.

Erik ten Hag is facing mounting pressure after Manchester United’s 3-0 loss to Tottenham at Old Trafford on Sunday. The scrutiny grew when the team blew a two-goal lead against Porto in the Europa League on Thursday, ultimately managing a 3-3 draw thanks to a late equalizer from Harry Maguire.

*The Athletic* reports that United is taking a “long-term view” regarding Ten Hag’s future, indicating he might stay even if they lose to Aston Villa this weekend. However, minority co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who will be present at the Villa Park match, has previously discussed potential managerial candidates over the summer as a backup plan. Although they extended Ten Hag’s contract after winning the FA Cup, those discussions might be revisited given the current situation.

Among the managers considered was Thomas Tuchel, who reportedly declined the approach due to concerns about the club’s power dynamics. According to *i*, United might reopen talks with Tuchel, who is currently without a position, if Ten Hag is let go.

Ratcliffe’s preferences reportedly lean towards Graham Potter or Gareth Southgate, but the final decision will rest with the club’s leadership team.

Additionally, Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri mentioned that United contacted Simone Inzaghi of Inter Milan this week, but he is believed to have turned down the offer to remain with his current club.

Another possible candidate is Brentford’s Thomas Frank, who previously had discussions with United ahead of last season’s FA Cup final, where United achieved an unexpected victory over Manchester City.

Despite these potential candidates, bookmakers favor current assistant coach Ruud van Nistelrooy for the role. The former United striker joined the club this summer after a successful season with PSV, where he won two trophies.
