BREAKING NEWS: Liverpool man has announced this evening that he will leave the club in 2025.

Dave Fallows is set to depart Liverpool Football Club by the end of this year. Joining in 2012 alongside Barry Hunter, Liverpool’s chief scout, Fallows has been pivotal in the club’s recruitment successes, including key signings like Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Alisson Becker. These moves highlight the effectiveness of Liverpool’s scouting strategy during his tenure. In 2020, Jurgen Klopp praised Fallows for his role in bringing Salah to the club, recalling how the scouting team passionately supported the transfer.

On Friday, Paul Joyce confirmed Fallows’ departure via X (formerly Twitter), noting that he will leave after more than a decade as director of scouting and recruitment. Reflecting on his time at the club, Fallows expressed gratitude, saying, “I have been very privileged to work for this incredible football club. The fantastic people here, starting with the supporters, make it so special.”

Fallows is already involved in the transition process for Liverpool’s future recruitment strategy. His exit represents another significant change in the club’s structure, following the departures of Michael Edwards in 2021 and Julian Ward’s subsequent leadership.

After 12 years in a demanding role, it’s understandable that Fallows is seeking new challenges. The responsibilities at a club like Liverpool can be both fulfilling and exhausting, as acknowledged by Klopp, who noted the limits he reached after nine years. Fallows’ long service is a testament to his commitment and contributions to the club’s success.
