La Liga defends Barcelona after Valencia and Bilbao incident

La Liga has condemned the hostile behavior Barcelona encountered during the first two rounds of the Spanish League season, which took place at Mestalla Stadium and Montjuic Stadium. Barcelona began the season with a 2-1 victory over Valencia at home and followed with a similar 2-1 win against Athletic Bilbao in the second round.

During the match against Valencia, their fans chanted derogatory slogans targeting Barcelona and the Catalonia region, directed at players like Torres, Lewandowski, and Balde. This hostility continued at the Montjuic Stadium during Barcelona’s match against Athletic Bilbao, where Bilbao fans also voiced offensive chants.

According to the Spanish newspaper β€œMundo Deportivo,” La Liga has condemned these incidents and submitted a report to the Anti-Violence Committee and the Competitions Committee, urging measures to prevent such occurrences in future matches.
