I have suspended two of my defender who has openly told me they are scared of him… unfortunately none of my player has agreed to handle him yet, I’m finished”: Tottenham manager names ONE Arsenal player who everyone at the Club doesn’t want face as he has suspended TWO players for the offense

Ange Postecoglou shared his thoughts on Tottenham’s preparation for the upcoming North London Derby against Arsenal after an “unusual” two-week break. He noted that while the break was beneficial, his players are eager to return to action following a heavy loss to Newcastle. Postecoglou remarked, “Ideally, you’d prefer to play regularly, especially during this busy period. We’ve worked hard during the break and are now excited to get back on the field.”

Despite the setback against Newcastle, Postecoglou doesn’t believe it will affect their performance in the derby. He stated, “We won’t dwell on the past. The players have learned from that game, but in a derby, past results don’t matter. Our focus is on the upcoming challenge.”

Regarding Destiny Udogie’s injury, Postecoglou expressed disappointment but remained hopeful. “It’s unfortunate for both Destiny and the team. He’s been crucial for us, but the surgery was successful, and we hope he’ll be ready for pre-season.” On a brighter note, he confirmed that Pedro Porro and Richarlison have trained throughout the week and will be available for selection.

Looking ahead to the derby and subsequent matches against Chelsea and Liverpool, Postecoglou views these fixtures as key tests. “Every game is an opportunity to assess our progress. I have a clear idea of our current standing and areas for improvement. These games will help us gauge how we measure up against top teams.”

Postecoglou is also enthusiastic about hosting the derby at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. “At this point in the season, you want to be playing for something meaningful. These upcoming matches are important, and I’m eager to see how we perform. It’s a chance to compete against top teams and continue our development.”

When asked if the North London Derby is the biggest game of his tenure so far, Postecoglou emphasized his consistent approach. “I treat every match with the utmost seriousness. I’ve instilled this mindset in the team. Every game should feel significant. However, I do recognize the derby’s importance and its meaning to the fans. It will be a challenging and intense game in a great atmosphere.”

He also praised Arsenal and their manager Mikel Arteta. “Arteta has done an exceptional job. The club saw him as the right person to lead them forward and supported him in building a successful team. Their consistent top-four challenges in recent years reflect their discipline and vision.”
