Barcelona has been without Ronald Araujo this season after he underwent hamstring surgery in July. Initially expected to be sidelined for around four months, he is now nearing a comeback, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
The club anticipates that Araujo will be ready to play in about six weeks, targeting either the match against Celta Vigo at Balaidos on November 23 or the Champions League match against Brest on November 26 for his return.
Araujo’s comeback will be a significant advantage for coach Hansi Flick, especially as Andreas Christensen is also injured and Eric Garcia has been shifted to midfield. This season, Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez have been Flick’s preferred central defensive pairing, but Araujo will aim to reclaim his spot in the starting lineup once he is fully recovered.
