It is with great pleasure that we announce that Thomas Tuchel, a former manager at Chelsea, has been appointed to the position of manager at this Premier League team, which is a surprising development.

Fans have divided views on who they would want to see succeed Erik ten Hag with Thomas Tuchel leading the way, given the likelihood that his career at Manchester United might be ending shortly.

Following a series of five matches that included a draw against Aston Villa on Sunday, the 54-year-old manager finds himself in a crucial situation, with the team currently sitting in 14th place in the Premier League.

Co-owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Joel Glazer met with chief executive Omar Berrada and Ineos head of sport Sir Dave Brailsford at Old Trafford on Monday.

Ten Hag’s future was a key topic during a meeting on Tuesday in London between Ratcliffe and senior officials.

However, Ten Hag is focused on addressing current issues rather than contemplating his future. He mentioned after the match at Villa Park that if he were under pressure, the United leadership would have informed him.

“They should have communicated with me; I don’t have a backup plan. We have a very open and transparent dialogue,” he said. “I plan to speak with them daily, as we regularly have these discussions.

You expressed it well—there’s external noise, but internally, we feel let down. We know we must improve, especially in scoring more goals.

Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is among those speculated as potential replacements for Ten Hag. His assistant, Ruud van Nistelrooy, could take over temporarily, and Gareth Southgate has also been mentioned.

A poll by the Manchester Evening News revealed that fans suggested nine potential next managers. Tuchel received 29% of the votes, making him the most favored, while Zinedine Zidane came in second with 16%.

Van Nistelrooy was the third choice with 12%, followed by former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri and Inter Milan’s Simone Inzaghi, each with 6%.

Michael Carrick received 5% of the votes, while Kieran McKenna and Graham Potter each garnered 4%, and Southgate received 3%.
