CONFIRMED: Arsenal and Liverpool consider Marmoush transfer

Bundesliga forward Omar Marmoush has become a key transfer target for both Arsenal and Liverpool, according to sources reported by FootballTransfers. The Egyptian international, who plays for Eintracht Frankfurt, has attracted interest from these Premier League clubs following a strong performance in the Bundesliga. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is particularly keen on signing Marmoush, even if it requires parting ways with Gabriel Jesus, who has been underperforming.

Liverpool, managed by Arne Slot, is also monitoring the situation closely. To make room for Marmoush, they may need to adjust their squad as well. Both clubs are competing for Marmoush, making him one of the most sought-after players in the current transfer market.

Eintracht Frankfurt is reluctant to let go of their star forward without a fight. The club is reportedly looking to extend Marmoush’s contract for another year due to the rising interest from Premier League teams. Nonetheless, they are open to offers around €35 million, despite his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) being only €17.3 million, indicating the high regard in which they hold his contributions and potential.

After Frankfurt’s recent victory over Besiktas, club director Markus Krosche addressed the speculation, acknowledging the interest in Marmoush while expressing the club’s desire to keep him. Krosche noted that while Marmoush has shown commitment and development, no player is deemed untouchable.

Marmoush’s time at Eintracht Frankfurt has been impressive. He joined from Wolfsburg on a free transfer last summer and made an immediate impact, scoring 17 goals in his debut season. His current form remains strong, with nine goals in just nine appearances this season, further increasing interest from top clubs.

For Arsenal, signing Marmoush could be crucial for Arteta as he aims to enhance his squad’s competitiveness. While Gabriel Jesus remains a skilled player, his inconsistency and injury concerns have been issues. Marmoush’s versatility and finishing skills could offer Arsenal a new attacking option to close the gap with rivals. Arteta’s willingness to consider selling Jesus reflects his intent to rejuvenate the attack.

Liverpool may see Marmoush as an essential addition, especially amid uncertainties regarding some of their forwards. His ability to play multiple positions could make him a valuable asset in Slot’s pressing system, adding unpredictability to their offense.

As the January transfer window nears, the competition for Marmoush’s signature is likely to escalate. Frankfurt’s efforts to retain him will be challenged, but with interest from Premier League giants, it remains to be seen if they can resist a substantial offer. Regardless of whether he stays in the Bundesliga or moves to the Premier League, Marmoush’s future is one of the most captivating narratives in the current transfer landscape.
