Fans can’t believe their eyes after seeing ‘the future of football’ for Man Utd win vs Fulham

Fans have been left stunned after seeing the future of football right before their eyes.

On Friday night, 75,000 fans filled Old Trafford to watch Manchester United start the Premier League season with a victory over Fulham. Millions globally tuned in to see Joshua Zirkzee score the decisive goal on his debut, but the most remarkable viewing experience was at a bar in Los Angeles.

A viral video shows Los Angeles fans watching the match on NBC with such an impressive setup and camera angle that it initially appears they are at the game itself. The footage, shared by Colin Cowherd of Volume Sports, displays United supporters at ‘The Dome’ in Inglewood, enjoying an enormous IMAX-like screen and additional smaller TVs, creating an almost optical illusion effect.

The Dome features a 9,600 square foot LED display that surrounds viewers, offering a highly immersive experience. Fans can even order food and drinks directly to their seats. Cosm’s website describes The Dome as a groundbreaking venue that transforms how you experience live events, making it feel as though you’re courtside at an NBA game or in another extraordinary setting.

While tickets or an entry fee are required, fans are enthusiastic. Reactions include: “This is crazy,” “That’s mind-blowing. Like watching with a VR headset on,” and “That genuinely confused me for a moment.”

A fourth person admitted, “Bloody hell, this fried my brain; I thought they were actually behind the goal.”

A fifth user tweeted, “I genuinely thought they were in the stands.”
